Hello Ivan,

Does the AK-KAW1 block off kit fit for zrx year model -98?

And if don't could you explain why? SG Motorsport said that it won't fit but I didn't get any reason why (SG motorsport said: "as you can see 1999 and up only. There is no 1998 kit ! ! !" .)

It would nice if somebody could tell.

I did not know that Kaw made the bike in 98...

If the bike is the same as the 99 model then it will fit.

Check with your dealer to see if the reed covers are the same part # as the 99 model..... if they are, then the kit will work.

P.S The ZRX came out in Europe in '97 (I think) as a true naked. No fairing at all, your plates will fit.

Kaw made the ZRX100 as from 1997
No mod's with the '99>, just didn't came trough in the US any sooner. Too bad for y'all.
Mine is imported from Germany, where even the 'R' was sold as from '97.
Yup, got miself a verry veeeeery early yet original 11R.

Ordered Block-off plates & 'Pod-Carb-Kit' trough SG last week.
A matter of delivery and my new engine with St.3mod, filters, rotor, etc will be installed.

Got mine in very fast from Rockland Co. - they install quick (well, once all the extra bits are out of the way) and they look good, too! Quick and easy way to clean stuff up a bit on the valve cover.
