Hi all "Let the Good Times Roll" folks

Hello All, I guess I never introduced myself when I joined couple yrs back?!

Been a KAW fan since '79 when I got my first street bike (76 KZ900 )

I remember drooling over the Z1000R when I seen it the 1st time on the showroom floor in '81
Sooo… I finally got the updated version. And in ELR colors.

I've been on the forum recently due to trying to gain some insight problems I've been having (Gas in crankcase) . Got some good info and am pushing through.
I discovered this while tuning (new plugs, fuel filter and carb sync) remote tank made it obvious!

One question … when taking plugs back out to dry everything up, one of the plug boots came off the wire. Is this normal or do I have to get new wire?

Gas in the crankcase is typically caused by a bad oring on the petcock. KWICK at ELS can help with that.
The plug wire boots are threaded into the wire, so you should be able to twist it back on. Might be a good idea to trim off about 1/4 inch before reinstalling
