    ZRX bikes and Family

Just curious how many of you have family members riding ZRX bikes? I feel fortunate to have a brother and a son both on ZRX bikes. I have had occasion to ride with both of them together and each of them with just myself. I was the first in the family to own one back in 04 being an 03 blue off the showroom new but one year old. I took a break from ZRX bikes but came back to them after owning several other bikes. Having three BOTM winners makes me feel honored to be a part of this great forum and want to also thank the multiple members who have helped me make them great bikes and my wallet thinner. Plan to keep at least one ZRX till I can no longer ride. Money from the bikes will most likely go toward a muscle car and I hate to say I have been away from them since 1990 and the day for another is getting closer by the day. Thanks to all the great guys who ride these bikes.

William you are a great guy, too bad you are not out here in sunny California. We could ride almost every day.

Howard, I know you have been looking. Check Cycletrader. There's a black 2000 with 18 k on the clock in Sanford that might be worth a look. Muzzy exhaust, pods, etc under 3k..

    Re: ZRX bikes and Family

My brothers are almost helplessly lost to the Honda virus (900F Bol d'Or, 2x 1100R, 750F2, VFR1000 plus a Yammie XT500) - the ship to convince them of a Kawi has sailed long ago.

I have hopes that our junior Tristan is hooked by the KMX125 we built together but then again he has been talking lately of a KTM that he would like as a first street bike in a couple years when he is old enough.
I will have to slap that thought out of his head I guess.

Like Kirtwood Smith in Robo Cop movie "I like it" nice to see green ones together and family to boot. My son and I have ridden together with black 1100 bikes and red 1200 bikes as well with my brother.

Youngest and his girlfriend at the time starting to build his second ZRX, was their senior year in high school. Off topic but she's an engineer with NASA now, the week after this photo she represented Alabama in the Skills USA competition. She broke her jaw in a MTB crash the day before they put the motor in, tough girl.

The first one he and his brother built.

Youngest on #2 and me on the V-Strom

But he likes other bikes too , was in middle school for this one (KTM125)

When the 1200 project rex is done my wife will ride it or the 1100. Depends on who wins the coin toss.

    I'm looking forward to that.

My son Carne got his green '01 in about '05, a couple years after I got my first ZRX (a black '01 in 2003). He still has it. Here it is earlier this year, and here is my current personal ZRX fleet.
