    Blast from the past...

Rummaging my old stuff I found some old card games I played with about 40 years ago. Man, I still knew without checking which vehicle was the best in each of the decks and what its only weakness was that you could beat it with.
I don't bother you with all of them but I thought you might like this...

My favorites back then were the MVs directly followed by the Kawis (especially the Rickman which I count into the Kawis ).

I found another but with less variety - just German and Japanese bikes from 50cc onwards.

Of all the German manufacturers only BMW survived to see the nineties. All the others disappeared during the late 70s and 80s.

I had one of those Suzuki GS750's .....loved it (mine was a 1977....an early one with wire spoke wheels...,however it also had the twin front disc conversion (they came with just a single front disc as standard..)
I loved that bike and stupidly (due to the persuasion of my dad) traded it in for a ford cortina Mk4 when I was 19 or 20 years old...

    Just like this one....

Mine was Black......,and sometime later I seen it in a petrol station one evening and the "new owner" had badly painted it white with a red stripe........

That put me off my dinner when I got home.....

    Anyway

    Re: Blast from the past...

One of my older brothers has a Honda CB750 F1 that needs restoring and has been sitting in a disassembled condition for years now somewhere in one of his garages/storages. It makes me sad everytime my eyes fall upon that bike. Due to his boat, a CB900F Bol d'Or, a CB1100 R, and a (beautiful) Yammie XT500 apparently he does not find the time to get that project going (not to speak of his full-time job as owner of a gas station).

I already reckoned to offer him taking that sad gem out of his hands - but then again that's a Honda and would minimize my chances to get the GPz 900R I see for my future.
