    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

Typical stuff. Massive stress at work, money worries...at the end of the day these earthly problems are nothing compared to the health and happiness of our friends and family.

Connecting with God and the other souls in this world is more important than any of these other details. We are all only here for a finite amount of time, and when it's all over I'm pretty sure I won't look back and wish I did better at work or made more money.

I will wish I spent more time with the friends/family I care for and that care for me.

I only hope I will make a meaningful, positive difference to others before my time is up.

Jaco made a huge positive impact on all the lives here he touched, but it still hurts that he left so soon, so young.

Gods will is not comprehendible by mere mortals. We will never know in this living world why Jaco left us...but may his memory be eternal!

You taking his bike and sharing it with us definitely does that.

    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

Arash, I have had lots of work stress, I used to give it all I got, but in the end got only more work on my plate.
But you know, since getting older, and more family and friends passing away, I made a decision not to let me be pushed around anymore.
It wasn't worth it anymore. I still do my work, but don't let me get chased up anymore. It makes my life so much easier.
As you say, friends and relatives are far more important to be nice to, to be with them. I sometimes came home stressed out, and this also had an impact on my girlfriend.
Also a reason for me to be more relaxed.

Thanks Gunther, his bike will live on here, I will finish the build.
It may take me some time, as I also am not the richest guy in town, but it Will be finished.

Was not on the board much around the time Jaco passed. He was to me someone that always seemed to bring something positive to this board. I always enjoyed his posts and the way he treated us all equally. Thank you for honoring Jaco's legacy. In that you not only honor Jaco but all of us. Thank You Coert!

    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

Yesterday, I picked up Jaco's ZRX..
It was quite a moving day for me, also for Carene, Jaco's widow.
Going into Jaco's garage, was quite heavy for me.
Seeing his ZRX, frozen in time, still work needed. It was just like Jaco would come in and start working on it.
But he wasn't.. frozen in time, his ZRX is now sitting next to my 1100, the little sister.
I will build his 1200, just like I, and Jaco would have approved.
Lots of things to do still, but I have the time.
All original parts are with it, and lots of other parts too, from the US, some from Japan, many packages are even not opened yet.
I spoke a lot with Carene, she is strong but feels the pain of losing Jaco, understandably. I lost almost everyone I cared for, so I know.
His bike is now sitting next to my 1100, and has found a good home.
Some pictures, but excuse me, they are not really clear, I made them yesterday at 01:05.
    Better pics will follow guy's.

You are a great guy, I hope I can buy you a beer and shake hands next time I am in the Netherlands.

Jaco's beauty could not have found a better home. As it was said before - build this bike exactly according to YOUR liking and I bet that Jaco will watch from above smiling and cracking some jokes like we knew and loved him.
Godspeed Jaco. You're missed down here mate.

    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

Thanks Heino, you are always welcome here,

We will meet sometime, and yes, Jaco would be smiling from up above and cracking his jokes.
Like we all knew him. Carene was very happy his bike is well cared for and now with me.
It was a very moving day for me, but also for Carene. My emotions were at quite a high level,
I am quite soft at things like these..

It found a good home. I will build his bike like I love it.
Thanks friend, and, have a nice sunday!

If you are in the Netherlands let me know.
    You're always welcome.

    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

    Coert.,you are a good man !

Walking into Jaco's garage and seeing his 'stuff' untouched since "That day" would have been so very difficult (and surreal) for both yourself and his dear widow..

His "stuff" has for sure gone to the Right man.,yet somehow I can imagine now looking into the empty garage would be difficult also....

A heavy and emotional day all round Coert .,but it couldn't have gone to anyone better as you "Care" and that makes all the difference.

Jaco would approve...,and if I can be of any help or assistance I am right here !

No Sir. You didn't hear that.

His spirit certainly is in here - a classic thread hijack ending up in unpredictable off topics. He would have enjoyed veering it even further off track.

That's exactly what I thought too, after Joe's post!
And it got even further off track, just like Jaco would have liked.
I laughed about every post after that, smiles all around.
Jaco's spirit is surely here playing and fooling around with us.

Dirk, the keyrings you sent me arrived at my place this afternoon! I fitted a purple one to my set of keys, as my ZRX is purple, and a black one one the set of keys of Jaco's bike,
    which is a black ZRX.

Thanks a lot for them! They look good, and fit the 2 ZRX'es just fine, the rivermark.
    Have a nice day!
