    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

I have been busy with Jaco's ZRX today.
Wiring is all done now, except for the front indicatores, will fit them tomorrow.
Seat has been fitted with the carbon seatlock which I found among the parts that came with it.
Wheels are probably going to be powdercoated gold, like the rearwheel now is, so probably only the front wheel,
if they can get it to match.

Thanks a lot for them! They look good, and fit the 2 ZRX'es just fine, the rivermark.

    Good news Coert!

    The bike is looking great!

Tomorrow at work I will do some work on the lathe, making a spacer for the exhaust.

Last picture is how I picked it up last saturday, at Carene's place.
Again sorry for the somewhat dark pictures..

I will, in fact, i'll be visiting here next saturday, because she wanted to sell the ABBA-stand the bike was sitting on when I bought it, but forgot to buy it.
The day was too emotional for me, and her too.
I will mention it to her, and also will tell her of this thread. I am also sending her the pictures of my progress on Jaco's bike, as she requested it from me.
She wants to be informed of it, and it's progress.

Yes...,I see (and am reminded) he has fitted the exhaust bracket that was part of a small group buy that JDS.,Myself.,Heino.,and Jaco had Rob (Kustom) make for us in Canada..

All four were posted to Jaco who then sent the others out to Heino.,Myself and John...,

In fact Jaco also surprised both me and John by including a pack of Waffles with our brackets and then PM'd me as I was eating them all wrong by dipping them in my tea...

He is a bit further on than me as I haven't gotten around to fitting mine yet..

Just thought I would give you a little history around that particular bracket Coert..and he is probably having a laugh right now at me reminiscing about those things...

Itís very nice to see his bike will continue on to where abouts he would have wanted it. Before he had passed we were emailing back and forth about some other bits he wouldíve liked along with a spacer for exhaust. Itís scary just how fast life can change. Iím sure heís smiling down on us. Rob.

Brian, I got those delicious waffles too when Jaco sent me my brackets but I knew how to properly use them.

Thanks for bringing back that memory. I still have the GPZ/Ninja poster that Jaco sent me and I am looking for a nice place to hang it up, maybe in my shop-shed.

Coert, you're doing a great job on this bike and it is such a good feeling to see it coming together. Jaco will love it.
Godspeed Jaco. You're missed down here mate.

    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

Nice to hear the story behind the exaust bracket! I was already searching for info about that bracket, but couldn't find anything about it on the net..
There are other brackets on the bike, notably the radiator brackets which look similar.
Maybe you made those too Rob?
I'll post a picture of it.

But the question that really bugs me now, is what is the way those waffles should be correctly eaten??
I always warm them up on a hot cup of tea, so they soften up a little before eating them..
Dammit, it even was the first thing I thought about when I woke up this morning.
Jaco must be laughing up above while reading this..

Anyway, here's a picture of the radiator bracket, have a nice weekend guy's!

Yes indeed Coert those are from another "group buy" involving the same 'four' (Me .,Heino.,John DaSilva.,and Jaco)
Once again Rob (Kustom's) creations........and once again Jaco acted as the "distribution hub" for these parts to us.

    No waffles that time though....

Little memories and those parts like this (and packets of waffles ) will Always remind me of Jaco.

    Good times.....

Oh and regarding the Waffles here is the PM Jaco sent me which is nice for inclusion in this thread...

    "Hey Brian

The waffles actually goes well with coffee. You place it on a mug of steaming coffee to warm up and the syrup gets all gooey and nice...

I'm VERY happy with the parts and hope to have some time soon to fit them. My mom is here on a visit so I don't have much time to spend on the bike.

    Have a good weekend!
God bless you guys as well!!!

    Re: Jaco's ZRX.

    Some pictures of Jaco's ZRX.
I have been busy after work getting things done, and finding out what was done and what was not.
Alway's something to check out when taking over a project like Jaco's bike. He must have been laughing up above when I found bolts not really tightend and stuff like that!
But its getting done, some small things needing done. But things will screw up I know. And I like that, getting surprised by things you thought were good but are not.
In fact it is really going well with his bike!
In fact I found out today one of my framebolts went missing last week, on the 1100. It was there the week before...but hey, it will be replaced.
Well okay, here some pictures, also of my 1100, AKA the Purple Haze.
    Have a nice weekend!

Silver REXs are sooo subtle - they slide right under the enemy's radar, then WHAM - they're dead!

03 REX - Akra, K&N pods, Ivan's jets, Teds Advancer, airbox out and chainguard, Chrispy's mirrors, Biscuits rearsets, Greg's brace, Armz shift linkage, Wog's seat, 'n some other stuff

    84 KZ1100R - Yosh, K&N, fork brace
    82 GPz 550 - Hindle

My '98 was registered early in '98, that is what it says on the documents. And also what our governement registers as the year of build, but then again,
it might have been build by Mama Kawa in '97 off course.
