The rent is due in 2 days.

I was a liter bike guy back then. Running around on a 1980 GS1000S. But liked this "new" beast. However my real love was its little brother. The GS750ES and it's 16" front hoop. If I'm not mistaken Wayne (BAMA ZRX) here in da 'Ham has one sitting in his garage.

I had a 79 1000E . I figgered why do any hop up, the 11000, even though the first 1980 was not as pretty, was faster. So I bought a new 83 750E.

Throw away the top and it makes a decent trailer. Check the tires and put 27 cases of beer in it and tow to Texas rally.

Over rated in my opinion. I had an 83 GPZ 750 that took two of them one owned by my cousin and one a friend. They topped out and I was not done and left them behind. Only mod I had was a full exhaust and jetting.

Blew them away out of the hole then they caught me mid range and when they topped out I walked away slowly. They felt so bad they avoided me for three days after the spanking a Kaw gave them. I will say the 1100 bikes were all stock but I gave up some engine size and only had a pipe and jetting.

You really wish you had that bike back! That had to be that fastest 750 ever made
Or the other guys had no idea how to ride.

Me too Ronnie! Had a few before then, but moving to New Mexico and buying a blue demo '81 was when the whole motorcycle thing clicked for me. Wanted an ES bad.

It would have gotten worn out pretty quick,,,as the area that I grew up in,,you'd have to race that bike every single night of the week.

Those are pretty bikes. I had an 82 GS1100E bought new with the matching factory helmet. Couldnít get the local CBX owner to race me.
