Well, I guess I can't use that particular example anymore having just posted about it.
There is a little bit of discussion about FI, but not alot. I tried searching for info when I did my FI conversion.

    Truth there.
Just the opposite on the new Z900 to the REX, the old girl feels like a big dump truck.
Never really realized how heavy it is until putting 2,000 miles on a totally different bike. I've almost dropped it twice now since the beginning of May, in 17 years haven't done it.

I bought the Zeus (there was a somewhat lengthy wait as it was made-to-order), and it's a very nicely made piece. The return springs that came with it were far too weak (I did contact them about this), played with tension on the bolts, and then bought half a dozen other various springs on Ebay. Once I was comfortable with the retraction, and actually staying in place, I encountered another problem.

It's a powder-coated piece, along with the footers, which just slid along my garage floor. Even after roughing the footers, I still had to wedge my foot in front of it and push the bike, which is a bit precarious (nothing like potentially breaking your ankle and dropping the bike). I noted the same on the (much coarser) surface at work. In the end, I just gave up, and threw it in a cabinet. I REALLY wanted it to work, but just couldn't make it happen.

    YMMV.
Thanks for that. I have a brand new one on my shelf so it's great to know the land mines you encountered.
