    '80 KZ 750 LTD (h1)

I originally bought this new then sold it in '96 when I left CA. The next owner trashed it and I got it back a few years ago. Started accumulating parts and really got on the road to re-assembly last year. So I got the cylinder and pistons back last week from APE and Waiting for Hammerhead to show up and give me that extra hand to start assembly of the top end. Monday the tool arrives to install new springs on the new Progressive shocks. Hope to have it complete by this fall :-) Name: 58345163096__43C1F2B3-4700-40B8-A913-C9656546B5E6.JPG

That bike looks very clean. Brings back memories. Was my high school bike and first street bike build. Put shorter KZ650 forks on it, GPZ top end, CRS650 tank and side covers, KZ650 kick starter, Specter 750 tail light and rear fender and I believe a ZL900 front fender.

Sounds like it was a nice bike! This one's first real mod was putting an '82 GPZ head with steel valves and .050 over pistons. Some VM 29's and a Yoshi pipe. Sadly that engine is sitting on the garage floor (lower case) the upper end was so badly burnt I trashed it. Looking for an '83 GPZ intake cam....:-)
