    Hottest July ever..........

    .......on record for the world.

Heard on the national news tonight, that this month is well on it's way to being the hottest July ever on record........for the world.

And, they say the following summers to come will be even hotter. I'm seriously considering an air-conditioned full coverage helmet.

    I'm preparing for global warming.
To get ready, I drive with the windows down instead of having the air conditioner on.
What else am I supposed to do about it anyway ?

Dano, you have to think for yourself. The weather people cite data that aligns with their agenda. Earth temps go up and down in cycles that last a long time. I'm not saying it isn't getting warmer some places, but it's cooling in others. They are not going to talk about cooling. While some glaciers are building up, they only talk about the ones that are melting. We have had above average snow and rain.

The July here has been cooler than last year. Now on the 20th, it is back to normal. Today's forecast is for 99. Average on this date is 100 and the record is 112. Where you live, the forecast is for 106, the average is 106, and the record is 118. Orlando, forecast 91, average 92, record 98. It doesn't sound like we are seeing the record temps that person is talking about.

There are enough odd things going on with the weather, that you could pick through the numbers to make any case you want. Their idea of of big temperature problem is 1 degree. If you could just give the international community more of your money, would that would stop? Most of the rest of the world is not going to change their ways, and that is where the real pollution is.

You live in one of the hottest places in the country. You must like the heat, or you would move.
You'll never know how fast you can go, until you go too fast.

Heat Index is suppose to be 105*+ today & TVA is saying the power system will be maxed out with the possibility of rolling brown outs.
This comes after the past two years of shutting down some of our large coal-fired plants.
Some tree hugger groups have been demanding that the steam plants be taken off line but they'll be the first ones to complain when they have no air conditioning.

All of which has virtually no impact on climate compared to what impact is due to the sun's activity and proximity.

Only man is egotistical enough to believe his behavior can actually control the climate.

What we do know is eventually there will be ice sheets as far south as Texas (again).

Now if anyone wants to discuss the insidious attempt to use "climate change" as an excuse for the complete seizure of the world's economy.......

We get four seasons here in N. AZ. We're above 5K' in elevation. We've lived here since 1984. We have noticed an increase in summer temps.

Blame it all on what ever you want. There's plenty to pick & choose from. It looks like we're here to stay. My wife and I had that very discussion just a few days ago.

Our saving grace is that when the sun goes down, so does the temp. It cools down nicely. We are getting a lot of refugees (residents) moving here from CA. That's not always a good thing...........

And, I do agree with you in regards to weather being cyclic, and the talking heads reporting on things the way they see fit. Just because I may pass things on from time to time, doesn't always mean I'm a believer.

All I know is, the San Fernando valley here In So Cal used to get snow in the winter months up until the end of the 1950 when they started plowing under the farms there and built tract homes.

So you may want to believe we don't have an effect on climate, but very slowly evidence to the contrary is creeping in.

I've to agree that we have a real global warming and/or pollution problem, everyone on this rock must be a part of the solution. So called organized countries do what they can, but cannot offset what the countries that

I've traveled to some of this so called third world countries, that Iiterally had to shut down vehicle use and some industries(smoke stack) for several days, because air quality was dangerous for the residents.

They have thousands 2 strokes motorcycles and diesel vehicles billowing smoke, but they still don't recognize the solution

Even if every American drove a electric car and charged it with solar power, it would have minimal impact globally, IMO

I agree. The worlds population is growing exponentially after WWII and everyone wants a car or a bike like they see in the USA on TV

Then just add China and India (they have a water shortage at present during their heat wave ) and you have a recipe for a helluva lot of GHG's in the atmosphere rising exponentially along w/the population that USED TO BE kept in check with wars and epidemics

Americans working in China put their children in large bubble buildings with their own atmosphere while they're at work. India has people with increasing rates of asthma due to their toxic soup of an ambient atmosphere due to emissions and cooking with any source of fuel they can get including coal

Nothing to see here, move along. Oh wait, we can't, we're in a choke- inducing, traffic jam
