    Name That Engine.

    This engine was in the training workshop today.

    A connecting rod failure with the cause undertermined,as yet.

    Thumbs-up for the person who can identify this engine.

    That is a very good guess.
    They have a reputation for number three cylinder.

    It is a ten cylinder passenger car engine.

    I'm gravitating toward something that is over engineered (titanium valves), under performs (it failed after all) and features a stupid GREEN technology to help it all along to failure.

    This gets me to:

    Volkwagen (VW) Tiguan V10 that has the Gawd awful direct injection (they call it TDI). Or maybe when it was known as the Touareg. It too had the Gawd awful TDI.

    What did I win?
