    Greetings from Tennessee.

I bought a 2002 ZRX on July the 4th. The guy that I bought it from told me that he thought the carbs needed to be cleaned, but it seemed to run fine. I rode it for about 75 miles and it started running on 2 or 3 cylinders. Now I've got the carbs out and it's killing me not to be able to ride my new bike. It was fun while it lasted.

    Welcome to the madness!

If you're still running the stock petcock, you might want to replace the o-ring behind the diaphragm as part of your fuel system refurbishment.

Sent them to Pete and let him clean them and send them back to you. Where are you in TN?

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I am just southeast of Nashville. I started riding on the dirt at 8 and still do (WR450). I started riding on the street at 13 (I did get a ticket from a state trooper for no liscence) on a 1982 Honda CM250 Custom that I bought brand new at Harpeth Honda in Franklin, which I saved up for from cutting yards.
I agree with comment about the petcock, I am definitely going to look into that.

Finally! I'm back on the road! It has been very frustrating having a "new" bike for a day and a half and then not being able to ride for a week, but I got the carbs all cleaned up and it runs like a scalded dog.

WELCOME ABOARD... sorry little late to your welcoming party

    Nice looking bike!!

You need to hook up with some of the TN ZRX guys, you'll have some great friends for life!
Their all good guys, well most of them... I'll let you figure that out for yourself. But they all have pretty wives so that makes them look better for sure

ENJOY your ride and be safe

    Re: Greetings from Tennessee.

Your bike looks very clean Looks like the fairing has been replaced. but that is the first thing that makes contact with the ground, even if it's just a garage tip over.

BTW - the ZRX likes to roll off its kickstand, so always park in 1st gear, but start her in neutral.

Thanks for the welcome and compliments. So far, I am enjoying the ZRX more than any bike that I have ever owned. It is definitely the most powerful bike that I have ever owned, and I LIKE it! The next fastest bike that I've owned is 1978 XS1100E.
