    Finally....

picked her up last Friday. A dam close to brand new 1997 Yamaha YZF750R. After going back and forth with the owner on a day I could show up, the son-in-law, a cousin and I did a 6.5 hour road trip one way to southern PA. Bike turns out to be nicer than was expected. Son found it in the Facebook sale pages... I'd been looking for about a year to replace the '94 I sold off to get my first ZRX1200. She originally said she did not have the rear seat cowl. Turns out they found that but couldn't spook up the original front seat. Stuck with a Corbin.

    Wow, what a find!

What was the going price, if you don't mind sharing?

    Those were great handling bikes.

    Re: Finally....

Congrats....looks to be a very nice and quite clean machine.

    I have four 1994's.
I call them Eeny, Meeny, Miny, and Moe.
Meeny, Miny and Moe are each in various levels of being in pretty good shape.

Eeny however, is in fantastic shape. I bought it from the original owner. It's been, and continues to be a garage queen.
I took it to the Vintage Days event at Barber last year, so those that attended the event may have seen it.

I'm always on the lookout for parts for all my bikes.
I haven't really needed much for my YZFs. However Meeny did have a passenger seat that was not in the best of shape, so I kept an eye on eBay and after some time I found a respectable replacement.

In searching just now, there are few rider seats posted. Such as this one that looks to be a pretty good shape:

Regardless...these are great bikes and were really a bit ahead of their time.

    One suggestion to you...
Ride it...or at least start it, and let it run for awhile - more so than you would other carburetor'd bikes.
The carb's on mine have proven to be notorious for needing to be cleaned if you dont keep gas running through them....often.
