Sorry to hear the news. It's a reminder to be good to other humans--we don't know what they are dealing with.

    Re: chuckc is dead

first off @KevyzToys, nice to see you on the board, I was thinking about you when I was down there a couple of weeks ago... I'm still up in Heron's Glen on 41..

As to Chuck C, I never met him but had his marvelous mirror extenders on my bike, a wonderfully made and finished part.

It is always sad when things end like this, as I sit and type mourning the tragic loss of Chuck C by his own hand as the Police were closing in, I am reminded that it is not the first time we have lost a member this way... tragic, sad, needless are words that come to mind.

Ride on Chuck, thanks for your contributions to the OA.

I received a call from a friend today and he shared the sad news. My first and most enduring memory of Chuck was that he invited me into his home on my way to the first YTRAP I attended. We rode together from Sellersburg, IN to Skeenah Creek Campground, a good day. He introduced me to all ZRX members there. He was a kind and caring man with a great sense of humor. I will never forget his good side. Godspeed Chuck C.

Exactly. I don't want any sordid details to taint the memory of a man I liked. A lot.

I was thinking the same thing kazman... there are people on here I've never seen before but they are long time members by the year of membership.

As I said earlier... he was loved and respected no doubt about that.

Sad to hear this happened. Many years ago, with a couple of other OA members, I met Chuck & his brother in Southern IN. Went out for a ride together, & stopped at some interesting sights along the way.

    Here's the story:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a man wanted forquestioning in connection with a suspicious fire at a home in southern Indianalast week killed himself as officers approached his vehicle.

Police had been looking for Charles Croucher, 68, since Friday, after a mobile home fire in the 6600 block of Dave Carr Road, near Charlestown.
Investigators say the fire had been intentionally set.

Police said Croucher was considered "a person ofinterest" in the fire, and asked the public to be on the lookout for himand the white Ford pickup truck he was believed to be driving.

According to a news release from the Clark County Sheriff'sOffice, police located the truck on June 29 on private property, in the 9800block of Zimmerman Road in Marysville, Indiana. As officers approached thetruck, they heard two gunshots. One officer opened the truck's door in anattempt to disarm Croucher before police retreated and called for help fromdispatchers.

That's when police say they heard a third gunshot. Officersthen found Croucher dead inside the truck, with "a self-inflicted gunshotto the head."

No further information is available at this time.

They say, You never know what's in a Mans head and heart till you walk a few miles in his shoes.

Chuck was a good guy. I spent many rallies with him at Martha's, we always talked about the REX and mods. He also like to joked about the Pea Cocks screaming in the morning. He said, it sound like Zeebeasts wife calling for him, Ron……Ron

He treated ever one like an old friend and I can't ever remember him having an issue or a cross word with anyone.

Rest in Peace Friend...….you'll be missed.
