There's one at the end of the pipe circled in red - and one on the other side too (where the arrow is pointing you can see hose clamp). They have a little metal mesh/screen (much like a petcock) that clogs up.

Yes, do a search/research about it here, it's been discussed in the past.

Let me know what you find. Nothing came up for me.

    I've found a set of zzr1100c cams for $200aud.

Should I do it, considering I'm running BW system, FP 3.0, and don't intend on replacing ignition..

    For $200 - yes.

I paid $300 for a set for my 1200 from the US - with what you've got already you should see a solid gain.

Hi Samc, I'm also near Syddanee, at Ruse, what a great buy. I would go for the standard handle bars. I found them perfect for long rides.

Great shot. Reminds me to sort out my luggage situation.
Impressive list of bikes, are they all current rides?

Put in some solid hours working on the bike today.
New seals for water pump, degreased small sprocket area, cleaned clutch slave cylinder, will put new seal and spring in tomorrow, fitted no flos, capped off regas plates with welch plugs, painted them, new head cover and spark plug gasket, fitted powdercoated head cover, rerouted wiring loom. Starter chain tensioner was also fitted through the week.

Tomorrow I'll fit exhaust, radiator and hopefully crkho kit.

    Re: Hello from Sydney

Blackwidow system installed. Went in easy, no clearance issues. Only struggle I had was fitting the muffler clamp. s
Supplied bolt didn't have enough thread to get started, even after employing the vice grips.
Chinese radiator went on ok, though the top mounting brackets are spaced too far apart, and the new oem dampers seem to thinner then the ones they've replaced.
Crkho installed, man is tight in there. Think I might ssr if I can pullthe head light out so I can reassemble with loctite.

    Nice looking exhaust.

FYI: Many do not use the top mounting bracket on the radiator. Stress point and may leak.

That's interesting. I probably already put stress on it when I bent the brackets. I might undo them.

I removed that bit of the cooling circuit a couple of ears ago, and plugged either end of it with a small bolt.
I get the occasional carb icing when it is a cold (< 4C) morning, eg when crossing the Nularbor.
Overall, I saved around 14kg doing this ....

That's the point, the weight saving is negligible.

No, don't see a need to cover those ports, good idea taking that BS off, just another thing to FU at the wrong time IMO, that's coming from my personal experience of having carbs ice about 5 times in real damp/cold days, under 40F(4C) aprox. before engine fully warmed up, rode in cold weather a lot.

    Re: Hello from Sydney

Massive day today. Rebuilt carbs with the factory pro 3.0 kit. Very easy process as I followed BG Well's guide. Only issue I had were the fuel needle o rings, one of them got stuck and must have pinched the spring because the spring wont come out. Dont know if it's going to cause any issues, probably will...

I followed the FP instructions provided. This includes clip on 3rd from the top and 2 washers above. Kwick and bg wells have both stated they use 3 washers, but stuck with the instructions

Struggled with throttle cables for a long while, finally got them on the realised I put them on backwards

Ready to fire up but its 8pm and the GP is about to start!

I'll install big ass box tomorrow then turn her over.

Note for the aussie, supercheap auto is supershit! Went down to get some brass fittings to make a fuel reservoir so can run without the tank. They had no fittings, hopeless

First start after installing blackwidow, factory pro 3.0, els 4 degree advancer, no flos. No leaks and is idling great. Ran for 10 minutes and fan hadn't come on. Shes loud and mean now. Baffle in..
