    Happy Father's Day to all.

My wife gave me a card of course, AND, a huge, hand-held brush clearing sword. I use the term sword, cause this thing is so much bigger than just a big knife.

It's made by Stanley. It's called a Fat Max. It's almost 24" overall length. The blade is 17" long and 2 3/4" wide at it's widest point, that being the tip. The top of the blade is serrated. Guessing, I'd say it weighs about 2 lbs. or so.

It came with a heavy-duty nylon sheath. This thing is awesome! I tried to do a search of it, and apparently it's so new, it's not even on the internet. My wife bought it @ Tractor Supply.

It feels amazing in my hand. Great weight / balance. The grip is rubber and looks to be very durable. I have a good collection of knives. This thing though, makes them all look and feel like child's play.

It is made in China and that sucks! Other than that, I have no complaints. Obviously I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I will in the near future. It will compliment my outdoor Stihl power equipment nicely. It's gonna work great on hacking weeds and such that are too thick to take a string trimmer to.

Anyways, if you get a chance, get to a Tractor Supply and check one out.

BTW.....I checked the TS site and couldn't find it on there, and, it's not on the Stanley site either.

I did end up finding a link: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...1?cm_vc=-10005

The DR walk behind trimmer has plastic coated steel cable. No muff too tough.

Bring that knife with you. I have a small forest of poison oak to get rid of.

The boys sent me a box of See's candy that came in an iced container made for hot weather. Ice was still frozen solid.

My Dad introduced me to Motorcycles at age 4, he has been gone for a while but I try to take a ride out to Garner State park every Fathers Day weekend as it was one of his
favorite places to go on his CB350. Kind of think he was along clearing the way today as there was no one on the 3s so I had a great ride that did not get slowed
down by the normal gaggle of weekend riders just parading along

    Re: Happy Fathers Day

My eldest had a BBQ Saturday for Father's Day and he and his wife announced they are expecting their 2d child in January. So, pretty exciting news. My middle son, his wife and child were there as well.

Youngest, Sgt. Hall, was in transit to a foreign country which shall not be named but he called me yesterday while on a layover in Atlanta.

And, for Father's Day, I treated myself to a solo ride on Angelus Crest Highway and lunch at Newcomb's Ranch.

All in all, not a bad weekend. Very blessed.

Also, miss my Dad who passed in 2006. He was a great dad. Never did a really good job of hiding his Playboys.
