    Under pressure...

I finally pulled the trigger on a compressor. I have always wanted one to widen my shop options and now that the shed will soon be ready, I will also have the means to operate it. I found this one in great condition on eBay classifieds for a great price of 50€ including various accessories. Has a 50 liter tank and a flow capacity of 230 liter per minute. Should be sufficient for my needs.

I can already feel creativity grow inside me.

Used it today already to blow all the nooks and crannies of the Gipsy engine free from sanding remnants and dirt in preparation of the upcoming paint job. Weather is not good for painting right now though.

A guy who repaired compressors once pointed out how ironic it was that most gas station compressors die for lack of oil, and they are installed in the back room surrounded by stacks of cases of oil.

I still need to find a maintenance manual for mine. I have absolutely no clue what compressors require in this regard.

There should be a screw type drain at the bottom of the tank. Next to failure to keep oil in them, rusted out tanks are the next biggest cause of failure. I drain mine every time I use it due to high humidity in Florida.

    Re: Under pressure...

I change the oil in my compressor about once a year. Mine doesn't get used daily, or even weekly, for that matter.

I buy / have air compressor specific oil on hand. Mine has an intake filter that is easily removed and easily cleaned over and over again.

Now you have this....,you will wonder how you did without for so long...!

Excellent addition to any shop Heino...!

As keep it topped up with oil as the guys have said....,

Get a "rattle gun" for spinning off the front sprocket nut....,air gun for "blowing off debris"....,a gauge for inflating your car tyres..,etc..,etc..

    Great "tool"!.........Congratulations.!

    Thanks Brian.

As you can see on the pic everything you mentioned except for the rattle gun already came with the compressor - even a paint pistol though I do not know how good that thing is.

Good move to buy that. I bought one a few years back and in warm weather use it every week for something around the farm.
