GTR1000 Concourse know as the ZG1000 in North America

In Europe and the UK I believe the later versions of these (probably post 96) had a power restriction in the carb tops. Does anyone know if this also applied to the North American market? The one I am looking to buy is a 2006 Canadian import. Uk based.

No such restrictions here in the States.

I'm surprised there had to be a carb restriction mod for the Europe model. Those bikes put out less than 100 HP. Was it intended to be a speed restriction of some sort?

There was somebody shopping for replacement carb caps not long ago to deal with that issue.
