Wow, those pics show you have some work cut out for you on the interior. Back in the day, that could have been taken care of by a quick trip to TJ! Now, not sure where you'd go.

Good luck. The body appears to be in very good shape and rust is always a killer. Motor looks all there and clean as well.

Your driveway, etc. looks like my buddy's house. Garage is crammed full of cars and like 15 dirtbikes, two thirds of which are broken at any one moment. He has a '98 Camaro project that I have never seen him touch in the 15 years we've been friends. It has a full race motor with a nice supercharger, full race suspension.

He's selling it if you're interested in another project.

My friend has a nice looking 850 from many years ago with the pop- up headlights. It has needed a valve adjust for years but rather than addressing It himself he just parked it. In his defense, itís a 12 cylinder but still!!! Iíll see if I can find out what year it is

As far as the 2002, itís iconic and one of the most popular to maintain/restore.

The M70/M73/S70 V12 in that 850 is very special.

It was actually two inline 6 M50 engines that share a crankshaft. Separate ECUs and everything. It was also the first production car with a V12, 6 speed manual, and fly by wire throttle.

I used to really like the looks of the 635CSR, at least, I think that's what it was called. Looked fast just sitting still.

Some sheepskin seat covers and a set of coco floor mats along with a deep cleaning would go a long way on that interior. Plus, be period correct.

Also, don't be afraid of wading into that steering wheel

Or just remove the seats and replace the carpet. The new glue makes the car smell new again.

When I used to autocross in the late 80's and early 90's, there were a few 2002's working the circuit. They were tastefully modded and quite competitive on the track. The best part was that they were almost entirely stock in appearance, but total sleepers.

It's going to cost a fortune, but it's going to be brought back as close to showroom stock as possible!

We're going to try and tastefully mod this one, like the suspension...as long as it's not readily visible, we would like it to be better!

He also had a 911 carerra, 928, and a DeLorean

    Pics? Updates?
There were a few "attainable for the average guy" cars out there that I always wanted. I've owned a few of them, but this is one that never reached my driveway.
