    Re: Z1R Manual needed

It might be the regular '76 or '77 manual as it's mostly the same bike as the regular Z1. Sometimes there would be a supplemental insert or section in the regular manual for a bike like the Z1R.

eBay might be your friend or an on-line search.

The Z1R came out in the 1978 model year. 1976 and 77 it did not exist.

Well after some digging it seems according to the engine and frame itís a 78 but itís registered as a 76 itís frame is very early itís 000043 so will have to do some digging. Also it seems Haynes does a good manual for 1000cc fours can anyone recommend it?

It might be Z1R bodywork in a 76 frame.

    It all bolts directly on.

People wreck bikes all the time and rebuild them.

Nope. Tail section of frame is very different. Along with a different seat pan not shared with any other model.

The seat pan is part of the seat...but...he can check and see if any handywork has been done to adapt.
Just like when you install a 1200 tank on a ZRX1100...ten minutes and a welder and it fits fine.

www.Kawasaki.com there is a frame number section and it will tell you by the vin what it is.

Back on topic. I have a FSM for my Ď78 1000A2. It covers quite a few 1000 models up to 1980, I think. Let me check and see what other models it covers and maybe grab you a part number from it.
