I had a Vespa GTS 250 with akra pipe, Bituba shocks, Brembo calipers, CF body parts and had a blast with it, kids had Yamaha 125 scooters (Zuma & Vino). They weighed half what I did and I paid for all of it so thought only fair I had the fastest. I have been looking for another scooter or perhaps a Grom/Z125, the CRF250L Supermoto is the closest thing I have to a mini these days.

We took the scooters with us on vacation a couple of times, once was Bike Week at Myrtle Beach, got a lot of funny looks.

The bike is old. In this state lots of vehicles get a salvage title because some one did not pay the tags. You junk it and start over. after 1 year late 100% penalty . Never stop. See bikes/cars all the time. $500. $900 in back fees. This one has non op. If it doesn't say that don't bother unless you need parts.

What are the "back fees"? Yeah, getting it at $500 would be right, but if it costs another $900 to get on the road it aint worth it.

When you buy something here, as long as it's not a Statutory Write Off - it's bought and there's no extra fees. There are some minor exceptions to the rules around Repairable Write Offs, but fairly straight forward.

If you do not put a vehicle on a "non op" when the tags are due then a penalty is added. After a year the penalty is 100%. Then another year is do. Then another 100%. Goes on and on. Allegedly after 7 years the vehicle "drops off" and you can bring in out.

California. Also the title for a bike has a separate line for the engine number. If you bring a bike in from out of state you have to get the engine number verified.
