I bought it brand-new as a left-over in April of 1987. Saw on tv that Honda at that time, had a rockin-rebate on it, in the amount of $1000.00.

The dealer I bought it from, said nothing about it prior to me buying it. I called them about two weeks after the purchase and told them I was due some money. Of course, they said that I wasn't.

After a phone call or two, and having spoke to an attorney friend of mine, I told them the $1000.00 due me would be far less than what a small claims court would award me. As a show of good faith, I told them that they could keep $100.00 of the $1K they owed me. I had a check in my hands for $900.00 in less than 4 days.

Damn cycle dealers! You can't trust any of them any further than you can toss um.

There's one of those rotting away (owner drinking problem) in a garage just south of Birmingham. I've seen it. Could be had for a song.
