Wow! Sobering news. I, like others, felt a kind of kinship though we'd never met or even communicated directly. You develop a sense of someone's spirit based on how they present themselves here, and Jaco presented himself well. Very well.

Praying for his wife, family, and loved ones.

Yep, maybe Heino can get us some info on what would be helpful to the family. Be glad to send flowers or a donation to the family if needed.

That's how I know the ZRXOA and also that's why this is such an exeptional place.

I will contact her today. It is early morning now here and I don't want to disturb her too early thinking that she will certainly not have the easiest sleep at nights now and might still be at rest.

I am always insecure in these matters. I hope it is not too much for her writing to and fro with me.
I will pass on the above carefully later today.

    Re: Jacohatt - passed on...

This is what I texted Carene. I hope I chose the right words in this foreign to me language.
    Hello Carene
I hope I do not bother you too much but I have been asked to forward a request from the head of the ZRXOA to you:
„Maybe Heino can get us some info on what would be helpful to the family. Be glad to send flowers or a donation to the family if needed.“
Please do not hesitate to accept the offered support if needed. This is way more than just another internet board. The regular members care for each other a lot and Jaco was like family to most of us. If you don’t need anything please let us know anyway where a last farewell of his brothers in the ZRXOA can be sent to and when the appropriate time would be.
In case you want to read what his mates in the OA thought about him you can do so in this thread (open, no login needed): http://www.zrxoa.org/forums/showthre...ferrerid=43831
Sorry again if I disturbed you in these hard times but I wanted to let you know that there’s help if needed.
    Kind regards
    Heino
Godspeed Jaco. You're missed down here mate.

Well said Heino, I spoke with Carene also via Facebook.
For any of us who want to pay his last respects, his funeral service will be held on Thursday 25 April, at 13:00.
    Crematorium Haagse Duinen,

    Re: Jacohatt - passed on...

    Thanks guys.

Carene replied already. She sounds like an astonishing strong lady.
Hallo Heino. It is not a disturbance at all. Jaco spoke highly of the ZRXOA group and their brothership. He often mentioned what the brothers did for each other. It almost seems as if he told you to tell me to accept the offered help, as I am not usually keen on stuff like that. To be honest a donation will be welcome. If there are brothers who can and want to attend, please give me the number of attendees on Friday the 19th (morning). The cremation takes place on Thursday 25 April at 13:00 in Crematorium Haagse Duinen, Wijndaelersingel 1, 2553AC, The Haag. Please fel free to app me anytime. It also makes me feel close to Jaco. Kind regards
    Carene

I will not be able to attend in person unfortunately but I hope some members closer by might make it.

Pete, I will Paypal my contribution to the zrxoa.funds@gmail.com with „Jacohatt“ in the message, is that ok?

I guess it is too early to say......,but is there any information what caused his sad and untimely death.?

I still am pretty much in shock regarding this as it all is so sudden and surreal.

I keep expecting him to post a funny comment....

Massive loss.,and my thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family

    Just crazy.

    We have lost a Brother..,and a friend.

I don't know Brian and I did not want to ask Carene.

I too can't get my head around the idea of not having him around here anymore to threadjack topics with or exchange plans and ideas on bikes and but also so many more topics of life.
Apart from his funny wits we all loved he was a guy who really cared and who you could discuss also the more serious aspects of life with.

    Ca Pete / Administrators,

I know that I've seen a picture of Jaco wearing his famous hat on this board. But I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know where a good pic of Jaco might be so we can post it in this thread?

I just saw the sad news on Facebook.

I only exchanged a few messages with Jaco via PM, a couple years ago.
He was a nice guy and I will always regret not to have met him in real life before he left.

Sincere condolences to his wife and family.
