    First 3D Project

I started working with AutoCAD at the old TechShop, so it was only a matter of time before I wanted to to 3D.

My son took a class for Inventor, and was wanting to start printing. I had a simple idea, so we could learn enough to start exploring.

I gave him the measurements and he was able to show me how to draw it.

Since his class was an introduction, they didn't cover printing. I used this opportunity to use this as a quick father son project to show him what is possible with his new learned talents.

With the help of KWICK, we where able to create a printable file.

Now I have a nice replaceable cover for when I need to access the nitrogen fill on stock shocks.

    Nice

Haven't used AutoCAD, but I have been a Pro/E user for about 20 years, and recently started using Solidworks. At the location where I work, we use Solidworks.

I think the grey filament would be stealth, and look almost stock.

    We also made spring spacers.

The 1200 shaft covers make some spring compressors impossible. The cut down spacers will always look terrible, so this eliminates it for a nice clean perch.
