    G'day from a new member

Hello from Australia, I'm picking up my first ZRX tomorrow, it's a seemingly well looked after s model but I think I'll be changing the fairing.Name: ad_0_1553595546353.jpg

    Howzit and welcome.

Yep, you'll have to change it to an R, but it's going to cost you more than you think. Those R fairings are becoming pretty rare.
Hide your wallet from this lot... otherwise it will COST you!

    Enjoy your bike!

    PS. nice looking bike btw.

    Welcome to the nuthouse

Very nice bike - normally I don't like the S-model too much but in this color scheme I actually do. But I would probably try to convert it into an R too, nevertheless.

Have fun here and don't hesitate to ask questions. There's probably as much ZRX-knowledge in here as in Akashi (maybe more...).

    G'day mate & welcome!

Im in Sydney and bought my first brand spankin' new S model in April 2002 (it was a 2001 model) and by June 2002 had replaced the front fairing with dual "streetfighter" headlights which were the style of the times. I've had many bikes since, but I have 3 ZRX's in my garage as we speak. Great bike mate - it can be whatever you want it to be. Enjoy!

Well looked after? I'd say, that looks pretty much brand new with the right mods already done. That looks like a Black Widow header with a Holeshot can. Congrats.

Just thought I'd post post a progress photo....I was a little unsure whether to remove the original fairing as the bike has been well looked after but I decided that I really prefer the looks of the R so....Name: IMG_20190506_162341.jpg

Nice work. It looks heaps better with the smaller fairing.

If you don't mind me asking, where'd you manage to get the fairing and bracket from and how much did they cost?

Thanks, I think it looks much better as well. I wanted an R but this was the right price, well looked after and had some nice mods.
The fairing bracket was from Japan on eBay. It came with all the rubbers and cost just over $200aud delivered, which I thought was a bit pricey but it was the cheapest I could find at the time.

I was in Brissie for over 10 years, then made the move south, just over the border, great endless biking roads and no traffic down here as I'm sure you know. Drop us a line if you're ever down this way.
