There are also Bitubo Shocks that offer basically the same performance improvement as Ohlins for about half the price.

Dam good looking scooter you got there Bill Down Under. I'll take it! It's that local pick up thing that might slow me down a bit. Keep looking out the door, I'll be there soon.

    Re: New ZRX buyer

BB: years ago, I was riding my old GPz750 near Seattle's Boeing Field and spotted
a ZRX. fell in love but couldn't afford it and didn't want to take a loan. I kept saving
and a few more years went by when my regular Craigslist scan yielded a prospect.
I drove a pickup truck down I-5 and turned left near Mt St Helens. Looked great and
I was able to come home that day with my ZRX. LOVE IT and have made a few mods
which made it even better (so far, full exhaust, pods, small rear rack, rear shocks
    replaced).

I've taken it for day tours into the mountains, Whidbey Island, rain forest, Winthrop,
St Helens, and Mt Rainier's Paradise. It won't keep up with my buddy and his Ducati
but I don't care. Wishing you success as you bike hunt and hope to read of your
    outings soon ! r-

Yes I've ridden all those great places around our area too Raymond, some many times. We've got a lot of good riding here once you get away from i-5. In the past several years now I've discovered eastern Oregon .... love it! Don't tell anybody les it gets crowded.
I've been in contact with the seller in Mt. We've made a tentative deal and I'm waiting for him to send me more pics. Says it hasn't been stated in a couple years, but he did drain the float bowls .. although as we know that's doesn't always insure a clean carb. Anyways, he's going to put a new battery in it and get it running to send me a video. I'm eager to jump in my truck and drive over there asap.

    Re: New ZRX buyer

Good luck on your search, you'll find most that have had a ZRX and moved on will regret and try to find another. The forum has a wealth of information and very willing to help with questions and new ideas on how to spend hard earned money. For suspension upgrades, make sure you have the spring for your weight and appropriate oil, weight & level. As others have said BiTubo shocks are a good alternative for shocks. Some of us have much more money tied up in a ZRX than you can imagine, there is a vast array of things still available for a fairly old motorcycle. Very reliable and not service heavy, several have 100k miles on them.

Keep that beer cold there Bill Down under.....
Wish I could join you for a few of um. In my younger days I might have. Now I'm old enough to clearly understand your comment about making mistakes. I've guilty of making more than my fair share alone the way. Sometimes looking back I feel very fortunate to still be alive, but with a lot of luck and a little bit a skill.... I'm still here.
    Thanks guys!

Here is one in Portland that looks pretty good for mileage price and mods if the MT one does not work out.

There was a ZRX1200 listed in Whitefish/MT with 56k miles/$4500 on it earlier in the winter but is taken down now. I was thinking of it, but I got the ZRX1100, Concourse 14 and a Chonda Hawk 250.

There is one listed in Billings still https://billings.craigslist.org/mcy/...831956482.html

That’s definitely not the Billings Mt. ZRX I was talking about but thanks anyway.

    Re: New ZRX buyer

I found mine on Cycle Trader (2000: 11k miles, asked $3500, got it for $3k), and I still have the search enabled. I receive emails on one or two new listings every week or two from across the country.
