    Zed 9 /zrx

From back in the day,i'd be about 15,so that makes me ........gulp 53 now!! Better late than never.
Always liked the MOTORCYCLIST project bikes and Harry Malliet made some cool sickles.
Not suggesting i am up to his level, but i wanted a black zed for a long time.

Real Nice! That came out beautiful! I am considering doing a restomod on an older KZ as well.

Please provide some details on the build. Engine internals, etc.

How much work to adapt the ZRX front end and swingarm to the Z frame?

    Thanks!

The bike was bought with the engine already built,Ape big block 1327cc,34 mm flatslides, welded crank,j top end.the work was done by Debben performance in england.
Bike had a zx9r front end when i got it,i put that on my rex and put the rex front end on the zed,it pretty much bolts straight in with the right taper roller bearings,i also replaced the frame as previous owner had chopped it to fit 916 seat and removed the lower cradle,i wanted to reinstall the zedness. The swinging arm was already on the original frame,i fitted upper shock mount extenders to the ltd frame that it has now.Should just be a spacer change to fit the arm ,i fitted a zrx arm to my z1100r with just a spacer change.

Got a little inspiration at the scottish bike show, dug out my dvd's of STONE and MAD MAX and started searching egay.
Found a stone -like fairing for cheap, still on the hunt for a pipe that goes under the motor, don't really like the one it has.
and purchased some MM stickers from oz.
Just need to dig out my alpinestar steel shin motocross boots that i got in about 1986,they smell a little but small price to pay for style

Got some headers from ebay, not sure of the make, look a bit like KerKer but not sure, certainly goes under the motor better and a bit of cutting bits of leftover pipes i had,the can fits ok.
