Thanks for the feedback, glad I made a decent decision!

Cheers Bill, what did you end up using for lines?

I have all the lines for the CBR (including MCs and lever). Was hoping they might fit, but I'll have to mock it all up to see I guess.

    Dirk,

I kept all the lines, lever and master cylinder that were already there. I had upgraded to stainless line some years ago.

Thanks Bill, I just had a look and the banjo bolt sits about the same spot on both - so looks like I'll do the same.

I'll see how they go and potentially upgrade the lines later down the track. I am sure it's going to be a hell of a lot better than stock anyway

Have a look at the KSRC website, when I did mine.

Did the same to my ZZR1200

Hmm, the gold ones were off my ZX12R. I replaced those with the Nissins (at end of page).

Plugged the pair holes and soaking with degreaser, I'll clean and paint and chuck some NoFlos in tomorrow!

Everyone is commenting about the Nissin calipers they put on being awesome (as were mine), but I think they all missed the fact that the calipers you pictured are Tokicos, not Nissins. Unfortunately the Tokico radial brakes aren't anywhere near as good as the Nissins, but the Tokico brakes off CBRs are much better than the Tokico brakes off the early ZX10s. Which ones did you get?

The rest of the bike is coming along nicely. Some of the stuff you have tidied up has come up a treat.

Cheers mate, lots of work to go to keep my bike stock WINK

These are low milage Tokico 2012 CBR1000RR Brakes, but I snapped them up as good deal ($250 delivered), I figured they gotta be better then the stock 6 pots right????

Yes they will. As long as they are the CBR and not the ZX10 Tokicos they will be an improvement. You might have to check your spacers when you fit them up because the ZX10 Tokico and ZX6/14 Nissin calipers are the same dimensions, but I think some of the the CBR ones needed small spacers (between the caliper and fork to space them away from the axle further) to fit them to ZX10s so they may be a bit different.

As I am more than likely going to run no smog plates I made sure that I cleaned all the carbon deposits off well, also filled a little knick on the timing chain side with some JB Weld (Arash did the same thing, although his was a LOT worse).

So I realised just before cutting this wasnt going to work with my application - stock brake splitter still in place, so I decided to make something more in line with the Sportsman version supplied with the CRK HO Kit.
