How do you remove your rear wheel using those?

Remove the spool/ bolt first, then loosen the other 2 bolts that expand into the eccentric''s cavities and slide out. Remove wheel as normal.

Having big spools makes popping it up on the rear stand super easy.

Does this help? Two split "lugs" expand to hold them in. They work suprisingly well.

Not really, because you have to have the bike up on the spools to take the tire off.

The spools cover the axle, so if you remove them, how is the bike still up on the spools?

Iím not following either and donít see how you could remove the wheel and the spools at the same time.

    Re: Billet Eccentrics?

I'm guessing that the spool-on-eccentric position is used for day to day purposes & maintenance.

If the wheel needs to come out, you unbolt the spools from that position and run them into the usual location further up the swing arm, thereby freeing the eccentrics and axle once the covers are removed. Do your thing, wheel-wise, and fit the spools to the eccentric covers once finished.

I could be wrong, it's a regular thing.

Watching and reading with interest as I have just (2 weeks ago) bought a brand new set of OEM Kawasaki eccentrics as I wanted mine pristine fresh.... (not fitted them yet)

They do differ right versus left in the area where the axle locates (rhs is recessed differently to accept the axle "nut")....

Having recently made a titanium rear wheel Axle ....the only restriction I found on the stock eccentrics was the aperture for the stock axle 'flange' and you were limited to the size of flanged hex nut that would work (to allow a socket to fit the nut while clearing the recess)....that then made getting a retaining 'clip' into the machined recess very tight and thus the clip had to be modified.

Of course all this is a moot point and doesn't apply to usage with the OEM stock axle ....however I thought I'd mention it for the benefit of folks with possible intentions of an upgraded axle further down the line...

I shall be watching this thread on the redesign of these items with great interest.

Really, we went through all that, and the answer was, take them off and mount them in the stock location.

I can not commit at this time but if you were to happen to make an extra set and throw in the bottom of your toolbox for a little while I'm sure I would claim them when it's more comfortable

I know this is very early days and still in the planning stage...however just an early enquiry...

Will you be offering these in an OEM type Anodized Gold option...?

I love the look of the stock Gold ones...but having them 'custom' designed would be an "I'm in" from me....

Good, I have anodized black ones in the garage, they are in the garage because they turned purple, just like most everything aftermarket that I've had anodized.
