    Billet Eccentrics Prototype DONE!

Hey fellas I have always wanted to make billet eccentrics but was curious if there could be any other improvements made to make them better?

Plus it could be cool if they were powder coated multiple colors and then remachined to make some highlights and make the part pop.

    Billet Eccentrics?

I’d take mine anodized black for sure.

Skeletonize them so they’re lighter than stock and I’d be doubly stoked. Bonus points for your PP logo squeezed in somewhere.

How about a way to make the Pit Bull trailer restraint work some how.

Maybe design them to work with a hollow axle sourced from another bike?

My research has shown that hollow steel axles/pivots are lighter than solid ti. Gun drilled ti is lighter yet but really big bucks.

    1. Make them skeleton-ized, to be lighter than stock.

    2. Offer them in the same raw, machined finish, such as like many of your other awesome products.

    3. Design/program in hash marks to go all around the entire outer circumference of the eccentric. This is for those (like me) that flip their eccentrics.

    4. Every eccentric I’ve owned has had marring of the hexagonal hole. Is there a better design for that?

^^^This also. The factory aluminum is too soft. The hex wrench always displaces material at the corners of the flats and looks like sh*t after a few adjustments. A harder alloy would eliminate this condition. It will also keep it from chipping up a powder coated piece.

If you skeletonize it, you could also make a specialized socket that could interlock with it and be easier to turn with out applying so much pressure to the small hex.

I like all of your guys ideas. That said I think we have proven we can make the part better to accommodate a few things.

Who can mail me an axle and a set of eccentrics.

Also we need to take a look at how much we skeletonize it as there isn't much there now. That said we will work on making it lighter with design cues without compromising strength and integrity.

    Happy Easter everyone!

I did this to my OEM Eccentrics, but Scott I would still be up for a set of your improved CNC version.

Please keep us informed on how you get on with this project.. If it's anything like your T/Clamps, then its going to be a winner

I know you guys like light stuff and I surely will attempt to lighten them. That said drilling them like that would take several more operations and drive up the cost of production.

Keep the ideas coming fellas as I want to build you something bad ass

    Re: Billet Eccentrics?

Pretty sure the eccentrics are the same between the Ninja 1000 and the ZRX. Myself and a few other Ninja / Z1000 owners would be interested in a design that integrated the spools into the eccentrics similar to the R&G "spindle sliders". The Ninja / Z1000 factory swing arm spool mounts are pathetic and barely clear the mufflers (stock or otherwise).
