    fun modding DR650

Why did I not buy one of these years ago? So easy to work on and so fun to ride.
I've put on a new seat, new front fender, Rally hand guards, Bash plate, GSXR muffler, Jet kit, Ebay rack, new grips, Ebay wide pegs, sprocket seal retainer and some Shinko big block tires.

Went a similar route with a KLR 650. Great fun on gravel roads but a bit of a handful when it started to get technical. Sold it and got a DRZ400. I'm still in over my head, but at least I can get the thing to turn.

    Nice looking scooter.

I miss my DR650 very much ! Was my favorite bike for a long time , and it took the Busa a few years to bump it from the top spot .
985 miles in one day with Zrxmitch years ago on the 650 . I did the pumper carb / FMF pipe to wake it up went from 35 hp to 45 lol

It no longer matters how fast I once was .

I just did the air box mod with a jet kit. One tooth smaller front sprocket. Wheelies with the throttle now. Don't think I need a pumper carb yet. Maybe next spring.

I did the yfz fcr39 mod. Spent about 350 and the bike is very different now.

I'm kinda thinking of selling these dual sports

Wish I never sold my KLR650. Practically gave it away to a friend before moving. Definitely want to get a dual sport again...so many good options these days.
