Any of you guys into knives?

I absolutely love Randall knives...simply the best!!!

Which models do you guys like and why? I need help picking. Donít forget to mention any customizations youíd consider too. With a 5 year wait, you canít change your order after itís been placed.

    http://www.randallknives.com/randall-history/

Right now, Iím leaning towards the Model 15, maybe with the blade etched with my last name. Canít decide between single finger grip or full finger grip handle.

Gorgeous knives. But I'm not waiting 5 years for it!

I prefer folders. And then I prefer Benchmade.

Iím also considering the model 2/13/17/24.

This will be a nice surprise to myself a half decade from now.

Some of the older Microtechs are EPIC! Their stuff is top notch and the discontinued stuff is highly coveted.

Good Choice on the Randel ARASH !! If ever a better blade was forged it was probably forged in hell !! I used to make a few knifes and do all kinds of repurposing old knives with new handles, here is an hatchet that I did for my father and a blade I made for my father , the Handel is out of the last buck he harvested before he died this is the jaw bone from that deer ,

A friend of mine just gifted me a small Damascus folder one off from Montana Silversmiths. It is one of several prototypes they were considering several years ago, but decided to stick to jewelry. Shame as he has several and they are fantastic.(He used to be their lead machinist/goldsmith)

The plan is to start that cycle by buying a quality one now.

Have a very rustic, rough bowie style a Filipino Papa-san made from a deuce and a half spring and a hilt made from spent 7.62 brass from an M60 pig. The handle is water buffalo horn that is a very strong anti-coag. I'll dig it out and get a pic this weekend.

I visited the Randall shop when I lived in Orlando in the 80's. Back then the wait for a custom built knife was about 18 months. It was a nice, unassuming shop set off of Orange Blossom Trail in kind of a rough area. There were knives for sale in display cases but they were too expensive for me. It was neat to see the place where the famous knives are made.

Something about the old knives repurposed from other materials that is so darn cool!

I figured some of you Florida folks might have some good stories about Randall.
