Ouch! Man, that guy seemed to come out of nowhere. The closing speed is too fast to react. Yuck.

    Why I hate non-directional and/or two-way trails.

The oncoming rider tried to veer left, rather than stay to the right. I wonder why? The guy with the camera tried to go right, and they met in the middle.

    That looked like it hurt.

I hate them too, but unfortunately every riding area within 3 states of me, except for one place with maybe 5 miles of trail, is all 2 way. Not just that, but with crossing trails as well. Need to slow down, and keep your head on a swivel.
One reason why I prefer tight, technical single track where the speeds are slower

We need cops, lanes, speed limits, overpasses on all trails.

    And overpasses and clover leafs.

By the time I'd given up on dirt riding we were starting to get a lot of 3 and 4 wheelers on the trails as well. Just too dangerous.

The oncoming rider locked the front wheel, hard to steer then.

But once again....once again....the friggn' on-board camera survives a horrific impact. Thereby providing all of us with a front row seat.

Oh. Let me go check LiveLeak. Be right back.....................

Dang guys, this sounds almost worse than the heebee jeebees that made me quit hanging out at the sand dunes at Glamis, east of San Diego.

People would fly off dunes with no regard as to what may be on the other side...or worse, oncoming.

Mitch n Joe (McGov)......Adventure riding in the Dirt is not for the Faint of heart or Thin skinned individuals.....It's not smooth Asphalt, rest areas every 5mi......Come join us down in the desert of Big Bend Texas.....We'll introduce you to how Daniel Boone, Jesse James, Wyatt Earp, lived and traveled across the trails of the desert......
PS...There's no Anti-Lock brakes out there.....You put a tourniquet on it and take a swig of Tequila.........Chris, quit yur moaning, it's not fitting for an Endurance Racer....

Do like I do and suck so bad at dirt riding that jeep trails are the limit of your ability so your only real danger is falling over or running off the trail and hitting a tree (a very real danger with my skill set). Those of you so skilled that you are in the danger zone (cue Kenny Loggins and Tom Cruise sitting helmetless on a GpZ900 being towed on a trailer) will garner little sympathy from the likes of me.

The day after I got the training wheels off my bicycle in August of 1968 I ran head on into a car at speed. And that was it for any future dirt riding. To this day.

Now giggling it up on Z125's...............come on Arash. It's all back roads to the Barber Museum from our house.

All racing organizations frown on two way traffic as well.

I always wanted to ride endurous (sp) where ya race the clock from point to point almost like a dirt bike orientation, kinda -with uni directional traffic

    ============================================================

oh man, I want to go to Barber so very bad but the female has zero interest - it would be great to 'know' someone there to see what isn't ready for show or in rotation for showing - I have seen videos of it but , that aint it - I really would love to go there even if the zrx is not on display

as a two wheel guy that is a mecca type place - u almost HAVE to go there it seems

I can tell you they had a ZRX on display at the end of November. It was stock, but must have been some super special stock version I'm not aware of because the information placard said it had a top speed of 182 mph
