    Mod Father, like that title

And I even know eggsagtly (spelled right?) why you had to modify/ swap the nut.

You don't have a second 26mm socket and just wanted to save the money on buying one

    Sockets are very expensive

I really love the way you do projects on your bike.

    Cheers, Sascha

    Hahaha. .yeah Marc Bolan's. T-Rex.

My sister had all their records....and played them incessantly.!! In the next bedroom.

Her and her husband (boyfriend at the time) got denim jackets and wrote T-Rex on the back of them with glue ...then sprinkled 'Glitter' over...

Those jackets and their 'tye dyed' T shirts were all the rage..!

    Beautiful work

One question, could the 25mm collar be pressed on to simplify the machining?

Thank you....,yes it could be pressed on.........................................However that increases the potential for failure as you are depending on 'only' the nuts on 'each end' to never back out.

With the threaded collar you have an extra safety net as the collar itself and its corresponding nut being 'both threaded' are locked against each other and in addition both the front edge of tye collar...'and'...the flange of the nut butting against their respective stop points both become 'load bearing' ... (ie; even "if"? the nut on the collar end did come loose (hopefully NEVER) the spindle will still stay in place due to the collar being threaded and thus 'load bearing')

This is an extra safety net...

You then only have to ensure the retaining nut on the LHS is torqued to spec ........mimicking the OEM setup. (In reverse LHS for mine versus OEM RHS 'nut'...)

I employed the same technique for the Titanium rear wheel spindle I made....http://www.zrxoa.org/forums/showthre...ear-wheel-axle
