Re: Who is going for the new Z900RS?

Dan, thanks again for being the guinea pig on this. I definitely benefitted from the project. I don't know of a finer setup available for the RS. The time Brock spent on dialing it in really shows when you spend some time in the saddle. I was was frankly a little surprised that he had enough interest in this model to "Brock" it, as he usually focuses on the big power rides favored by drag racers. I actually sold my ZX-14 to make way for the RS. It's impossible to replace that monster pulling power with a smaller bike but I think the RS is a better all-around streetbike for me.

Re: Who is going for the new Z900RS?

I sure don't need to be thanked TB but I do appreciate the jester, all I did was drop the bike off at Brocks for a few months, he did all the work & there was a lot of it from Brock & staff.
I talked with Brock several times before the release of the RS to see if he'd build a pipe like he did for our ZRX's & once he committed I got an early bike so it worked out well.
Both my sons and I all run Brocks products on our 14's. He's top notch!

Tee Bee.......paint the pipe black on that model, and perform a tail-tidy on it.......then take a pic of both model and bike together.......the model in the foreground, real bike in the background.

Thanks guys. Mark, I've actually got 2 of the toy versions, so I've been thinking of modding one of them a bit just like you mentioned.

Those look nice, especially the grey one w/green stripe. Only the traditional green one is available in the US.

This 900RS is the first bike that has "spoken" to me in years. Saw one at a DFW dealer the other day, really a beautiful bike in person. I am quite sure one is in my future, I just don't want to plunk down 11k.....I will give it a year or two and pick up a niced used one. This is what a motorcycle should look like, not the other freaking insects they have sitting at dealers.

awesome eh'? I've had a woodie for the z900 ever since they were announced. If I ever get back on, the weight difference might be critical. Adding a pipe & a few bits should get it in the ~400lbs. area which I might be able to do w/the peg-leg; it's a much smaller bike than the Rex.

Friends been telling me the ZRX ~ 500+ lbs. might be too much? Donno....

    Thanks Kenny.
That's Chad, my youngest son. He was a Kawasaki factory rider for Team Green drag racing years ago with Ryan Schnitz, Chip Ellis and Rickey Gadson.
He's still a pretty decent rider.
