Didn't have time for the bikes. Spent 2.5 hours cleaning out my car. My OCD about having a clean car and wanting my dog to ride around with me all the time keeps me occupied sometimes

Installed Renthal dual compound Kevlar grips on my Husky. These are the best grips out there. Lots of grip and last a long time. Well worth the $$$.

Well, since my “primary” ZRX is the ‘03 Blue that makes the ‘05 Red that I brought home from Kansas this weekend my “other bike”! 😂

Red has sat for 4 years so it’s yank and clean time for the carbs!

It's a very different bike vs the ZRX. The Strom is the "Swiss Army Knife" of motorcycles. Very capable and roomy for my long legs. The V-Twin makes good power but I'm still getting used to a V Twin. I've had inline 4's most of my life. I have to keep it revved to over 3K rpms in every gear and it makes the smoothest power when revved to 4K rpm. I sit much higher w/ the Strom which is still unusual for me.

I'm headed to the Robbinsville, NC area in next weekend for my personal TITS rally. Thing In The Spring with my good riding buddy, my BIL, and his best friend. Gonna ride Deals Gap, Cherohala, the new extended Foothills Parkway, etc, etc, etc. I'll have a better idea of how well it does in the twisty stuff after that trip. Stay Tuned to This Bat Channel.

All in all, I like the Strom. However, it doesn't have the 'Soul' of the ZRX!!!

    Busa Tune

58000 miles on the Busa. Did valve adjustment, fuel injector cleaning with the Motion Pro cleaner, new fuel filter, fresh plugs, throttle bodies synched, and air filter cleaned. Three exhaust valves were tight and all others in spec. Runs as good as new!

Works great! Mount the injector, hook up the cable, spray the injector cleaner while holding the button. you can see the spray pattern and watch it clean up. I did two rounds in each direction and they came out perfect. Tool is way cheaper than sending them out considering the Bus has eight of them.

Highly recommended! Plus it's a well made tool.

Raised mine a bit and will do some more, would like to put a 17" on the front, think it would be near perfect. Not terribly exciting but a great ride.

Great looking bike! My buddy and I drug a clean example home a couple days ago for him. We were joking about going back almost 20 years since he had one in 02 when I had my first ZRX. We've both had quite a few bikes since then. I remember the FZ1 being a missile.

Re: What did you do to your OTHER BIKE today?

I’ve been riding my newly acquired gen 1 SV650N some. What a difference losing 110 pounds makes! There’s always a gear for satisfying torque (6 of ‘em!) and the thing just turns and rips. Stock suspension sucks, and i’m In the process of upgrading to an Ohlins shock and RaceTech fork springs. It’s old and ratty, but runs perfectly - finally something to keep off the bicycle!

Ha ha! Forgot to take pics. I took a 8" galvanized spike, cut the head off it, cut it in half, filled lower fairing piece with jb weld and then pushed the spike in, perfect fit. Did same thing on top half.

Re: What did you do to your OTHER BIKE today?

Thanks. I can see how that would work.

When I was looking at buying one of those years ago, the guy said they have all been dropped, and I would drop it too. I didn't buy his, but I did drop an '87 ZX10 because it was so top heavy. I was stopped with my foot planted, and it went to the ground. Scuffed my new paint job and broke off the peg.

Swapped the headlight for a number plate and deleted the taillight. Less to replace if I go bushwhacking again and the trees come up too fast.
