    DR 350/650

I had a DR 350 and sold it to my son. It worked fine for me off road. light enough power. I has a buddy with a KLR 650 I MAY ride with. My DR350 left him for dead crossing a field. So I found a NICE Dr 350 and a decent 650 to pick from. Any good/bad to close the deal on one of them? Is the 650 too heavy off road?

    Re: DR 350/650

I've had two DR350's and except for being a pain to start at times were great bikes. No experience with a DR650 but suspect on tighter stuff the 350 would be better. I have a KLR650 and dirt roads is about the only off-road it's good for.

15 hp and 80 Lbs. If I ride with son would be more fire trails. If I ride with bud would be more paved. i'm leaning toward 350 but thinking down the road maybe not having ZRX. Would need more road bike

My mate just returned from a world trip on a Suzuki DR650.

Fifty six countries and 180,000 kilometres in two years.

The bike was ultra-reliable. I think the only issue was a stator coil that failed.

The details are on his Facebook site. Check Maurice Raleigh.
