Alright guys, I am going to order up enough parts to build the ZRX specific kits. I will need to research the R6 and C14 but we'll get it done.

Never mind Arash, I found them. Had to go to another supplier to get them, but ordered a set for your R6.

Radiator Fan Manual Control - Interest?

Thanks Cory! The bike is at the dealership right now so I didn't have access. Oh and no "I" at the end, but I always wanted to buy a set of Arashi rotors just cause I thought it sounded cool!

I'm in for the next round. I'm currently using a manual switch and have bypassed the factory switch. What about using a switch that lights up green or blue when ON?

We could, but will need to find a power source for the light, thus 2 connectors.... The fan running should be enough of an indicator that the switch is on....

Less is more IMO. The last thing I need is another bulb that can burn out on the ZRX!

I have a manual switch wired in, and an analog coolant gauge. I can not tell if my fan is on. Plus my switch location is poor. If the automatic function is still intact, the fan will run after shut down too. This could be confusing, as you might turn it on, trying to turn it off.

Just an idea. I'd like a lighted switch. But your switch location is a big improvement.

They work great for the REX! I have one (different MFG) on my KLX 400 and the guy made one for my REX.

Installed it today after Hurricane clean up continued.

    Guys,

I was asked to design and build a bar mounted manual fan control that when turned off, would leave the bike functioning normal (coolant temp controls fan on and off). I came up with this.

It uses a waterproof/resistant 10A rocker switch in an anodized aluminum bar mount. The buyer wanted it completely PnP and that when the switch was off, the bike would function like stock. The switch is an EBay item and appears to be of good quality. The connectors are all factory connectors and using high quality TXL stranded 18 ga wire. All connections are properly crimped and soldered. I use a high grade, adhesive lined heat shrink as well. I thought I would post it in case there was interest in building more. Price would be $50 shipped CONUS via USPS Priority Flat Rate. Canada is $25 and Australia/UK would be $35 additional shipping charges.

    Regards,
    Cory
