    A couple of KLR650'a

Had the camera out today and took a couple of pictures. Need a 685 kit for the black bike is about the only thing left to do.

    Throwback

    This is the fun one.

Finally got the front brakes sorted out, SV650 caliper and Brembo 13mm Master Cylinder.

Thanks - It's a blast to ride, still a KLR and can't come close to a real SM but can ride it all day any where.

I like the round headlight, where's it from?

I might go that route with the dr350 - dicky square headlight and fairing

Generic 7" headlight (was on the kids ZRX), brackets were left over from another bike but lots of options on ebay.

I had an XR650L, nice bike but seemed like a bit of a dog. How are the KLRs?

    Lookin' good

But I have to say that KLRs look their best with some meaty knobbies on them. Do you have yours sprung stiffer for the SM setup?

Only 35 hp but a fair amount of torque and is good stoplight to stoplight, nearly all of my riding is in town or along the coast. The environment here is hard on vehicles, high humidity and most days a UV index of 11. The ZRX stays in the garage most of the time, sold a couple of nice bikes because I didn't ride them much. It's a KLR so it's easy not to care about it too much.

Both have Race tech fork springs with gold valve emulators and Cogent Dynamics shocks set up for mostly street riding. Not much off-roading around here, lots of dirt/sand roads and no problems with street tires.

Nice looking bikes! I've done the 685 to mine and it is one of the best things you can do to it. Haven't gone the SM route with it since I'm keeping the ADV look.
