I have a problem, ZRX Addiction

You see it all started when Kawasaki came out with the ZRX.

I had to have one but the great state of CA wouldn't allow it.

So I had my brother buy it in Ohio and I rode the bus to get it.

Still have that bike. But it didn't end there.

I have sold three off to others who love the bike.

So I guess I am an addict and a pusher.

    Is that a bad thing?

Indeed you have a serious problem and this requires serious treatment. My prescription is to go "cold turkey" on this. I'm on my way there with a large trailer.

Re: I have a problem, ZRX Addiction

Well the total is 8, seven are up and running the 8th in parts. I could put it together but it wouldn't be worth too much as it has high mileage compared to the rest.

Maintenance is not too bad as I do my own work. Spreading the usage around allows ample time between having to do the big things such as shimming the head. Fortunately I have simplified under the tank and I can do it in less than 3 hours if I just do it.

The favorite of the group is the one in the back, a 1224 with Ohlins USD with Brembos, Aprilia wheels and other stuff. It runs really well.

Zed the extra Ohlins USD are waiting for another top triple to be made. Lord only knows when that will happen. I plan to put them on my 1100 in place of the USD ZX9 that are in use now. I made an 1109 engine for it too but the bike is running so well, I can't bring myself to replace it.

Trigrnzrx, no extra Muzzy mid pipes, sorry. I saw you were looking but I don't have an extra. If I did I would have let you know. I enjoyed riding with you in Kernville last month.

Nice collection of ZRX's there. If you had an '03 green in the mix, I'd consider it complete.

Oh, wait. I just noticed that you have the girly version black. So never mind. The '00 black is the true collector model.

Good to know. It would be such a waste to let them sit there, doing nothing, when I know a least one thta will use them in his new custom triples..
