Tuesday was the first day in 1.5 years that riding the zrx didnt hurt. My accident caused more pain than I ever admitted. Nearly 1.5 years of physio and my shoulder seems to be almost back to normal.

I would not ride my ZRX (or any motorcycle)that day,if I were required to get on from the right hand side.

That would definitely take some getting used to. Same with fueling. Pushing or moving a bike around from the right hand side scares the crap out of me.

I used to dismount on the right. Mainly because it as different.
Working at shops taught me how to stand in front and push bikes backwards, stand on the right and do the same.

Yeah I see the guys at my local shop maneuver big bikes around every morning by the front handlebars pushing backwards like you mentioned. I never tried it

    Re: ZRX Confessions....

R has extremely sharp response on both brakes which suits me well; the Ss response on the front brake is pretty weak .

Heres the confession: me still too stupid to find out wtf is wrong with the Ss weak front brake and/or where is the air inside the system.

As Im doing a board search and new approach, will let you know the outcome

    Regards

It's amazing how different the personalities of the S vs R are just from that one change. Nice pic of them side by side.

Not sure I understand, Mr. President SIR (just found out i better behave now ). As far as I know, R & S using identical brake systems which is actually why I suppose theres still air in the S front brake.

Anyway, I like them both quite a lot, even got them new names: ZRX1200R "The Urban Hooligan" , and ZRX1200S "TransAlpine" ... dont forget Im The Alpshole = asshole from the alps

A few more pics below; best regards

    ZRX Confessions....

Personalities in terms of looks, not braking function.

Your brakes need work if one feels weak

I just liked your photo of both versions side by side. The additional photos are great! Thanks.

    Youre very welcome

    One more ZRX confession :

I cant top my ZRX1200R which means there is no other bike Id want more . This was also a consideration buying the ZRX1200S . 54 years old now and having those two ZRX I suppose I can keep my R running forever - as long as Im able to ride - by eventually also using S parts to keep the R going.

Better than this, Ill keep them both fit for riding; but you get my idea.

Why ZRX? I started with (K)Z900 and (K)Z1000J; Eddie Lawson was Superibike Champion on the KZ1000S1; and despite the newer technology, the ZRX is the successor of those great bikes. I love ZRXs classic superbike styling combined with simple but fine technology which is still competitive in the twisties .

Before telling you my whole life-story, Id better shut up .

Great to be on the OA; always was

Interesting..... I'm going back to round rotors because of feel I get at high speed braking with every "wave" I have ever used.
