    ZRX Confessions....

    ZRX Confession:

Sometimes full throttle application scares me.

I guess more accurately, it's the insane acceleration and sudden realization that my surroundings have suddenly become blurred that kind of "catches me out."

I know that the perspective on the street makes it seem quicker, but do you think that it's quicker than your race bikes?

    Oh hell yes!

And you're right about the street perspective thing. I got on it during lunch on a narrow street with homes on one side and suddenly realized how effin' fast I was suddenly going. I immediately thought, "What the eff are you doing, dude????" It was like a friggin' time warp.

I like how with the Rex you can sometimes get the rear wheel to spin up, then stay in the gas and the front end starts slowly coming up as the spinning rear tire starts regaining traction.

    That is so cool!

That's the coolest feeling, rare but wonderful.
I like lifting the wheel out of a corner and just letting it back down to do the next corner the opposite way.

Bought an 02 with full muzzy and zzr cams this year and was running 80 in third and the back tire was smoking and I thought the clutch was slipping. Bike has loads of torque and first couple of trips out I was shocked with power. These are fun bikes for sure.

After a few beers and enthusiastic throttle twist I had that happen to me on my zr1100. Not so much on my Rex as I buy better tires these days that actually stick and pull the wheel up first.
