    Re: New Radiator Brackets

The use of grommets isn't the problem, stock shroud grommets will get damaged if you don't use a collar with it.

Teds straps use the top mounting, and should have a rubber grommet there to isolate vibration.

    Re: New Radiator Brackets

The grommets are part of the stock radiator top mounts.... Ted's bracket goes over them. Nothing on the sides though.

I don't do wheelies (intentionally at least), so the radiator has not seen a lot of stress from that.

Ted's straps pretty much eliminate the rubber mount at the top and offer no side support.

Please do not run them with my radiator and expect any warranty coverage.

Oh yeah. I guess they would eliminate the usefulness of the top grommet.

    Yep. En-genius, huh....

All the pics I posted in this thread are of brackets I made. I've made 4 to date, each one a little different. But I'm talking +/- .150 difference in most cases.

All of these use the stock mounting setup at the radiator.

All the mounting hardware and location is the way Kawasaki intended.

Also, these mount in the same location as the stock shroud on "both" axis, unlike the SSR brackets I had.
