Yes, I didn't want to keep letting you guys down and I didn't want to get you guys super excited and then me get super busy again.

That being said I have been working on the programming off and on this week and will continue to until it's at a point I can cut a prototype.

I do not have a time line on this at this time as I don't want to be the guy who promises something and didn't deliver.

Thanks for your loyalty in me despite the fact that I haven't produced this part yet.

Ok fellas, so I got a lot of the top clamp done yesterday, but not all.

That being said despite my best efforts I do not believe we will be able to put the pinch bolts in the front like I did on the 14 clamps.

They are going to have to go on the sides........any objections?

The sides would be like the stock top clamp? No objection from me - can you put up a pic?

After some more programming it could work in the front. Not sure that I like and I definitely do not like the off center cut for the pinch bolts but that's where it would need to be to work with the M8 pinch bolts. Also I could reduce the size of the "meat" in the pinch bolt as this was for the 14 forks and I mixed the two drawings together.

Here's what the bottom could look like if we moved the pinch bolts to the outside of the fork bores versus the fronts. This is a bottom clamp i did for a customer a few years ago.

Ok guys I think I am closer to making them work in the front. I made the thickness for the pinch bolts the same as on the 14 clamps for the so it looks much better now. I just need to look into moving the slit for the pinch bolts over so it's closer to center.

Re: Stites / Pulse ZRX 43mm Triple Clamps - Interest

I don't think the slit needs to be centered... unless you want it from an aesthetic / design stand point. As long as it works to pinch correctly, offset is fine with me.

Yeah it's about an 1/8 off centered at the moment. I need to check if it will clamp correctly also if I move it closer to center I need to calculate how many threads will be pulling to ensure there's enough strength.

Re: Stites / Pulse ZRX 43mm Triple Clamps - Interest

OK so I have done the calculations and we still have way more than enough thread to center the slit.

Here is what the outline of the top and bottom triples would/could look like as unlike the 14 forks the fork legs on these clamps would be the same for top and bottom.

I would guess a matter of weeks at this point since he has started drawings/files etc.

Will have to discuss pricing with him again, but originally somewhere around $700 - but that may have changed.

Nope we they will be $700 a set for raw/silver and $750 for powder coated black.

I am almost done with the first operation of five for the top clamp plus I need to make fixtures. No time frame just going to work and post updates as we go.

Typically the customer would remove and install their own stem. That being said in the past I have installed stems for members if they supplied it.

Stites-- still definitely interested, but I have a question...
I have an Ohlins steering damper with a mounting kit made by someone on this site (can't remember who, maybe Mr. Couch?).
Will the dimensions be so different than stock that it will not longer mount up? Just wondering

Yes..,I was wondering about that as well....,perhaps an additional bush would be required on the Greg Couch frame mounted bracket to accomadate the bottom tripple tree.?

Here is that Greg Couch steering damper bracket kit and how it is mounted........check out my thread http://www.zrxoa.org/forums/showthre...t=ZRX+makeover...post 117 (quite a bit down)

One more Question Scott..will the stock handlebar risers be able to be used on your new Tripple trees.?

I would be wanting to be using them along with the stock handlebar clamp and was wondering if this was still possible.?

    Brian.
