    Welded in actually.
You can cut 'em out, or use some member designed bar end mirrirs (Jason, Chrispy, etc.)
    I LOVE my Chrispys.

    bar end mirrors

If you mean the screw that holds the bar end weight,
Use some heat... Kawasaki puts red loctite on them.

The bolt that holds the bar end weight has a significant amount of Red Loctite on the threads. It will not come out easily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the bar end mirrors you're looking to use have a removable attachment (like those pictured below) , you can remove the bolt and flare then adapt the mirror to the handlebar using a longer bolt that holds the mirror AND bar end weight. Example below.

Or if you can find a set of Chrispy's originals!!!!
Silver REXs are sooo subtle - they slide right under the enemy's radar, then WHAM - they're dead!

03 REX - Akra, K&N pods, Ivan's jets, Teds Advancer, airbox out and chainguard, Chrispy's mirrors, Biscuits rearsets, Greg's brace, Armz shift linkage, Wog's seat, 'n some other stuff

    84 KZ1100R - Yosh, K&N, fork brace
    82 GPz 550 - Hindle

    Re: bar end mirrors

If you have a propane torch with the adapter that covers the flame and has a flat screwdriver end - stick that into the cross of the Philips screw (#3) in the bar ends for about 2 minutes. It will soften the red Loctite and the screw will back out without need for an impact wrench.
You will also not burn the paint off the bar ends and they will be as new.

    Re: bar end mirrors

    Hi Everyone,

Maybe this is a dumb question so I hope you'll forgive me! I'm brand new to the forum but am a long-time Zed-Rex owner, having bought mine new in 1999. Probably unusual around here, but I've left mine 100% stock. Now I'm finally interested in getting crazy with some bar-end mirrors and I was wondering if members like Chrispy, Jason etc. are still making them - and if so how to go about getting a set.

I'm looking for ones that can thread right in where the bar-end weights come off.

    Thanks!!!

The reason your bike is stock IS because your new to the forum... you think your asking a question about $40 dollar bar end mirrors.... but really your starting your first post in to what will become unending Mods and upgrades... good luck... oh and you best start shopping for jet kits and a full exhaust now... then we will move you over to the zx11 cams section later ...lol
