    ZRX1200 DAEG

    Hi Guys/Girls

Been enjoying this beauty for last 9 months, rides like a charm; It is normally only for the Japanese Domestic market but managed to convince Kawasaki to try exporting a limited number (10) so I got 1

Basically same as all the previous models but now with fuel injected engine; enjoy

That is a beauty, and that seat looks somewhat decent if it is stock.

    Nice!

I heard the jap ones are mandated by law to be de-tuned to less than 100 HP. Is yours? easy fix? compare to older rexes?

    Re: ZRX1200 DAEG

    Hello Guys

    Sorry about that

Seriously now, yes it is rev limited by the onboard computer; easy fix, simply buy the Speed limiter remover, plug in and Voila... the wild side is released ( the notice included says "for use on track only" lol)

Yes the picture I have posted is all stock standard. It rides ok, m 85kgs, wifey is 40kgs, saddle bags/ Top Box 20kgs or so and it keeps its line quite well, corners very well albeit m using Michelin Power Pure, so it stick quite well to the tarmac..No chicken strips lol

M now looking at installing Hyperpro springs Front n Rear, so will have to see if any improvement is noticeable

Coming back to the saddle bags, I made some light stainless steel racks to support the soft bags, so no need to strap anything over the seat; as for the Topbox, using a Givi 300, but had to get the genuine rack from Japan due to new mounting points different from previous models (1 anchor point only for grab bars)

    Will post more pictures later

I was hoping since honda brought the cb1100 back that maybe Kawi would crush them in the standard market and bring it here

To put that in perspective, we could buy 5 nicely modded ZRXs here for that price. I'm glad you were able to get one but I'm sure not interested. I already have 2 ZRXs that are faster than the DAEG and I could add most of those upgrades (with the exception of the FI) for a couple of grand.

Yes in your part of the World you are very fortunate that all aftermarket parts, R&D is available for the ZRX R and S... over here, only 1 ZRX R model is still on the roads for USD10,000 second hand..

So what choice is left? get what the Kawasaki dealer imported ie the DAEG at that price... and to put you in perspective, a 2012 Z1000 new was USD30,000 equivalent thanks to the Import Tax duty

maybe there is EfI unit parts numbers you can give us? teaser detail pics and wiring cpu units look like and there must be a fuel pump system as well.

If we all send you Fosters, Do they add an (re)import tax as well?

    Thanks!

Welcome aboard! Nice ride man, I do like the white/black scheme of your bike!

We just need a few of our Japanese friends to buy a few DAEG's, & ship them over here brand new! I've heard you can get them $10K USD in Japan? Then ship= ~$500...(DHL)...

Yes, we are, and I'm not trying to rub your nose in it, just pointing out the facts. I'm glad that you were able to get one and I'm sorry that you are so burdened by your government with exorbitant import and tax fees.

No worries mate, was not upset at all lol; Btw USD10000 in Japan really? normal selling price there is USD18000... maybe as a US serviceman you could get a discount unregistered and as export?

    Cheers
