Could Kawi be bringing the Versys 1000 stateside for 2013?

    Read here:

Not that I could afford one anyway but I like the Versys 1000 better than the Ninja 1000 and just about anything else that's come out in the last few years from any manufacturer. The reviews have been pretty good too. I've been using this pic as my desktop background for a while now. Ah, to dream....

Come on up and get one! $13,500, does not appear to include saddlebags or trunk.

Nice bike but it seems a little pricey to me. I don't think it's due to Canadian pricing or exchange either because a lot of other models here seem fairly close to US pricing.

You could get a Connie 14 down here for that and it comes with bags.

For that price you could get a used victory bagger or a bmw.

2012 C14 ABS currently priced at $17,600 on the corporate website. As with everything, talk to your dealer for HIS best price.

They're marketing it as a long distance tourer....but have made them with chain drive and no centRE stand.

    The seat is though.

Re: Could Kawi be bringing the Versys 1000 stateside for 2013?

The Versy resembles the BMW GS, the Yamaha Tenererere, and the Suzuki Vstrom. These bikes are all over the place and have a huge following. If Kawi brings it here, it will sell. Honda is attempting to get into the Adventure-Touring game with their 700.......but has a long way to go. I own both a ZRX and a Vstrom. I add "bling" (lots of cosmetic additions) to the ZRX........I add "farkles" (additions to the bike to add FUNCTION) to the vstrom. They are two completely different bikes......... and require a different mindset to love them both for what they are, not what they look like.
I've screwed over 13,233 ZRXOA members in the past.......who's next in line??
See "Products Made by Members" Forum (SS Engine Bolt Kit) and ZRXOA License Plates.

    The missus liked this shot:

Caught my attention as well. Two-up comfort looks spacious. MCN in the UK states it runs an ~11-sec 1/4-mile and is capable of 50 mpg (Imperial I'm guessing).

    +10

I've got to admit that if the 650 Vstrom had a shaft, I'd own one.
