The biggest challenge in Photoshop is to be able to "adjust" images
WITHOUT it becoming apparent it's been overly toyed with....
not easy for me, but fun nonetheless:
The original was shot with my old...lower quality Lumix...instead of the new Canon 60D
which is the shnitzel.
How?
a. isolate the rex
b. reduce contrast & brightness in the original background
c. use filter/render/lighting effects to add diagonal light
d. darken grass in original

The ZRX doesn't look anything like the inspiration photo.
The photoshop image didn't make it any more so either.
I like it sorta ..... kinda like I like naked women who say no to me.

HTG I didn't notice anything but the dark grass and slightly sharper focus. It is a great shot though!!
I use good ole' Paint Shop Pro and it works great. I know it has the lighting effect of your "inspirational" pic.
I feel it's a never ending learning process and once a person learns the capabilities ( I sure haven't !) artistic flair comes into it.WARNING !
