Gots to do me some pushups.......

Just got back from a social event with one of my racing clubs...........go kart enduro, complete with qualifying session. Three man teams, five minute qualification, then 1.25 hour enduro, minimum five driver changes. I got in almost 35 minutes of driving, and my arms are almost spaghetti.......my big mistake was not using my legs to brace myself around the turns. I figured it out way too late, but we did ok. Our team started out last/eighth, but rallied to third place (podium finish!) by the end.

I gots to improve my upper body strength..................

Not seeing how push ups would help with racing karts. Whole different group of muscles used from what I recall.

But point taken. I was whining to the wife just yesterday about how much upper body strength I've lost as a result of my recent shoulder injury. You don't realize you've lost it until you need it Then comes the realization that you're not in the great shape that you've managed to convince yourself you were.
    Stupid is as stupid does.
