The PO of my bike really had mod fever. What is the purpose of changing the oil filter cover? I have never seen one of these, so any and all information is welcome. Thanks

it's just a blingy filter cover with a drain so you don't get oil everywhere when you uncork the filter cavity.
rexter, i have been meaning to drill and tap my stock cover for a drain plug. maybe next time.

i deleted the rest of my first post.....it keeps the mess way down when changing the filter since the housing will be empty but i'll help ya get back to stock if ya want to

It only gives you 2 or 3 more horsepower... so fairly negligible mod in my opinion.

It was made by Clutch Hub Carl, a really nice guy and friend, in Colorado.
Like was said, it reduces the mess when changing the oil filter.

Huh, I may just put this on the GPz. The GPz has even less clearance for the oil filter, because of the stock exhaust. The ZRX has a Muzzy, so it doesn't even come close by comparision.

Keep it on. Keeps you from getting oil all over the midpipe on your exhaust when you are changing the oil.

if you do sell it dont take less than $50.00 dollars for it . You cant get them any more.

use a big old drain pan and rubber gloves.... Whats the problem?

especially used motor oils. It contains carcinogens.

Marvin.. I shud have phrased that differently as perhaps you shud not include all businesses. I believe the problem with both, are those individuals who are sometimes placed in power..
